Why You Don’t Need To Kill Other Bloggers To Get Ahead

I was just reading a post on Dosh Dosh about how others, blogging in your niche are not competitors, but rather potential friends.
Basically, what this means is that you do not need to hire a hitman to move up in the Internet rankings. The post goes on to suggest that you actually reach out to other bloggers and use them for networking and even become friends with them. Yes, I know, for may of the bloggers out there, half the fun is planning the downfall of others in your area, but look at is this way, there are some positives out of making friends as opposed to termination.
- You save money on the hitman and lawyers when you get caught
- You don’t risk a jail sentence
- There is the possibility that you may be mixing in slightly better circles (although there is no guarantee
- If all else fails, you can always fall back on your first intention
Seriously though, the post is quite accurate, you don’t need to think of other bloggers as competition, or the enemy, you can develop friendships that are mutually exclusive.
It is worth mentioning though that not all bloggers think this way, many will never respond to you while you are a long way down the blogging food chain. You will only get a response when you start appearing as a blip on their radar. So if you initial contact receives no response, do not feel dejected, just remember, it is not them it is you…. ![]()
